Hamlin has improved enough to have a major operation on his teeth. Most were removed - very infected. He has recovered well and that alone must make him feel better. It seems as if he sees a little better but it is more he is becoming comfortable with his surroundings. After another break and some building up he will have his next operation to remove his eye as he has glaucoma/dry eye which would be painful. Meanwhile he is having ointment applied to make sure the eye doesn't trouble him till it can be removed.
Dogs are so stoic. He must just be used to being in pain. We will make sure he lives his last years as comfortably as we can make them, although he is available for adoption if that special person comes along.
Thank you to his great carer who makes this possible.
